QIU QIJING
Famous Chinese contemporary artist One of the representatives of the revolutionary contemporary Chinese jade carving. Born in Fujian, the home of hundred-years tradition Shou shan stone carving. He has been related with jade carving since he was six. 1999. Qiu was graduated from the Fuzhou Art and design college and started his creation of Shou shan stone carving works. 2005, Qiu was graduated from the sculpture department of the central academy of fine arts. In the same year he created a series of sculptures that expressed his humanistic concerns and his modernism styles. “The Nirvana series-Yikong” and “Pure lands” has broken the highest record for the auction price in both the Poly auction house and the Xilengyinshe auction house in 2014.

Qiu Qijing’s Art Design Studio：
Qiu Qijing’s Art Design Studio in Beijing was founded by Qiu Qijing as Chinese contemporary artist and a representative of the innovation in Chinese contemporary jade carving in 2013. Until 2017, it has established and developped the SUZAO brand in art derivatives with various crafts , involving in casting copper, lacquer art, inkstone, coloured glaze, casting gold, gems, etc.. The jade work, the art products, the jewellery and the sculpture/installation art, which are guided and created to produce by Qiu Qijing as the representative, have been held the solo exhibitions and attended the group exhibitions several times in the cities at home and abroad such as Shanghai, Beijing, Hongkong, Hangzhou, Macau, London, Swiss, Rome and so on. Qiu Qijing graduated from Fuzhou Academy of Arts and Design, and completed in studying sculpture in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2005. The studio takes the jade carving as the core, and establishes the oriental aesthetics centered on the traditional culture. It has created a conceptual route in communication and verification between modernity and art tradition by review of the way to carve jade in the traditional eastern art. The sculpture art of studio reorganized and inferred the sculpture orders and rules from the physical attributes and textures of jade. Especially, the Blue and Hetian jade series carved by the studio have formed their own unique language style and aesthetic attribute by tracing directly the classical Chinese culture tradition in the knowledge reflection and spiritual consideration deeply andthoroughly
